Gynecology
We provide comprehensive gynecological care for women of all ages, from preventive examinations and pregnancy care to menopause.
At Venova, we combine specialist care, modern facilities and a sensitive approach. Close cooperation with urology also helps us address concerns that overlap gynecology and the urinary tract.
We are accepting new patients. We offer care covered by health insurance as well as private gynecological care.

Gynecology and urology under one roof
Women’s health does not end with gynecology. Recurrent urinary tract infections, incontinence, pelvic pain and concerns after birth or during menopause may need more than one specialty. At Venova, we connect gynecological and urological care so patients do not have to search for another facility. We arrange follow-up care clearly, sensitively and in one place.
Extended gynecology care programme
At Karlovo náměstí, standard gynecological care is provided within the scope of public health insurance.
For patients who want additional organisational and administrative services and discounted terms for selected examinations, we offer an annual extended gynecology care programme.

Are you accepting new patients?
Yes, we are currently accepting new patients at both locations.
Are examinations covered by health insurance?
Yes. At Karlovo náměstí, we provide standard gynecological care within the scope of public health insurance and work with all health insurers. Patients can also choose the extended care programme, which provides additional organisational and administrative services. The programme is not required for registration or medical care. Every patient can access standard care covered by health insurance.

How often should I have a preventive gynecological examination?
We recommend a preventive examination once a year from the age of 15. Regular prevention remains important later in life, including after menopause. A preventive examination includes a gynecological examination, colposcopy and a cervical smear for cytology to help detect precancerous changes early. At ages 35, 45 and 55, prevention also includes an HPV test for high-risk types of human papillomavirus.
In which languages do you provide gynecological care?
Venova provides gynecological care in Czech, English and Russian. Our doctors speak several languages, so you can consult in the language in which you feel most comfortable.
Do you provide pregnancy care?
Yes. We provide comprehensive care during pregnancy, including regular checks and monitoring. We want expectant mothers to feel safe, informed and well looked after throughout pregnancy. When needed, we also arrange follow-up care with other specialists.
